April Outdoor Events on the Olympic Peninsula

harbinger outdoor events sponsorWhile we at Harbinger are a bit fanatical about what goes into our bodies (you only live once, so why waste it on subpar food and wine??), we love supporting a balanced lifestyle with plenty of recreation.
April 11-13th: The First Annual Port Angeles Kayak and Film Festival (of which Harbinger Winery is a proud sponsor) embodies all the wonderful things available to us about living on the Olympic Peninsula, like being able to walk out your door and go kayaking in 5 minutes! Come join us for a weekend of celebrating all things liquid; kayaking, stand-up-paddleboarding (SUP), and tipping a glass of BarHop ale or Harbinger wine to fellow outdoor enthusiasts. Check out the Port Angeles Kayak and Film Festival website for a complete list of the weekend festivities. The festival welcome party starts at 7pm at BarHop Brewing, where you can check in for a class, or do a last-minute registration, or just be there to enjoy the scene and help our out-of-town visitors feel at home.
April 26th:Second Annual OAT (Olympic Adventure Trail) RUN! While this event is sadly sold out, now is the time to train for the full OAT RUN Marathon on September 6th, 2014! Check out their website for more information on this all-trail marathon

Red Wine & Chocolate 2014: February 8-9,15-17th

Buy Tickets to the Event
Montezuma was said to drink 50 cups of cocoa a day before entering his huge harem of women. Chocolate contains some 400 chemical compounds, including phenylethylamine (PEA), which some scientists believe arouses the same feelings people experience when in love. Chocolate is popular because of its sensual texture and calming effects. PEA fuels the release of endorphins and serotonin – natural mood-boosters –Some of us like to live life to the fullest, to take the chocolate by the wrapper, to push the boundaries (you get the picture), so we have created the ultimate seduction with red wine and chocolate pairings. And don’t even get me started on the amorous qualities of red wine! Join us for this 5 day self guided tour of the senses. For more information or to purchase tickets online please visit Olympic Wineries Website or call Harbinger Winery at 360-452-4262.
