This particular block consistently exhibits such a variety of deep and rich flavors. Dusty aromas of bright cherry, briary fruit, tobacco and anise run like a river onto the palate and meld beautifully into the vanilla and toasted oak finish. This wine just flows. Notice how it seems to have so much dark fruit and richness, but retains enough acidity to make one’s mouth water in anticipation of another sip. Pairs well with milder beef preparations, duck, squab or mushroom dishes. How about beef strogonaff over wild rice?
