While Petit Verdot has the reputation to be an inky and tannic powerhouse, we were pleasantly surprised how it radiates a fruit-forward nature. Dark, wild berries, smoky oak, vanilla and tarry hues of molasses lurk in the shadowy depths of this massive wine. If you drink it anytime soon (like in the next 5 years) decant it for optimum enjoyment.
